weekend getaway for a pageant in sun valley

get ready for a long post you guys!  I have lots of pictures to share with you.  last month, I went up to sun valley, idaho with two friends i work with at the daycare center.  one of the friends i went with had entered her beautiful daughter kennedy drew into the pageant that was being held in the sun valley lodge.  we woke up bright and early and left for sun valley (6:30 am to be exact) on a saturday morning.  obviously, we had to get some delicious breakfast so we went to mcdonalds.  YUM!  my favorite breakfast there is the sausage egg mcmuffin.  holy deliciousness.

we arrived up in sun valley a couple hours later and got all settled into our wonderful hotel room. at the sun valley lodge.  it was gorgeous!  after a bit we did some pageant things with kennedy and then we went out to dinner at a burger place up there.  hamburgers and french fries just happen to be one of my most favorite foods in the entire world, so i was definitely in heaven.  i'd rate their burgers as a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.  I wish i could remember the name of it so that I could recommend it for you guys.

anyways, we enjoyed a glass of wine and also took advantage of the coziest robes that were provided for us.  i loved mine so much, i slept in it!  i really should ask for one for christmas.  the next day (sunday) we did all the rest of the pageant events.  we got to watch all the cute kids get up on stage.  okay, most of them were cute, but some were so reminiscent of the show toddlers and tiaras.  kennedy did fantastic.  she won five trophies total and even won prettiest eyes (as you'll see in the pictures below she deserved that award) and she also got second runner up.

that weekend was such a great little get away.  im so thankful i got the chance to go!

im here ! :) helloooooooooo new home

im here :) im in tempe, arizona. and i am sooo so sooo excited. its beautiful here. it reminds me of boise, but hotter, prettier, and more of a desert (duh), but it also has a little bit of denver in it too AND some fort collins. so its like the best of all the worlds.

i took pictures of my last few days in boise, and i took some on the drive. so lookout the next few days and i promise i will get them up. now im off to enjoy some food and a drink with a friend of mine that i forgot lived here (SORRY FRIEND!). i hope everyone is having as fabulous a week as i am.

can anyone guess where im considering moving :)

these two are the top options on my list of places to move. its warm all the time, sunny all the time, and no one has a blog based out of this place. ive been there once before with my best friend jaemi and i fell in love with it. i have a couple of friends in both places already and i honestly, deep down in my heart, feel like either of these would be such an amazing fit for me, as well as an incredible adventure.

wouldn't you love to pick up and start all over and get a fresh start? i mean...i don't even have the first idea about either of these places as far as shopping, restaurants, the road system, or anything of that sort. thats kind of the fun part of it though, right?

im thinking of this place for my own personal reasons. im not doing it for anyone but myself. i need out of idaho. out of boise. i know that wherever you go, you will most likely know somebody on the street, somehow, in someway, after you have lived there for a bit, but I JUST DONT WANT IT TO BE LIKE BOISE. i could walk around and pick out somebody i see and be connected to them in some way. its ridiculous. i want to go some place where i can show people who i am without them having heard or seen something or knowing things about me (whether theyre negative or positive!). i want to be myself and have people form their own opinions of me in the very beginning of me moving there, based on what i have shown them. so this is why i want to be somewhere where i hardly know anyone. it will push me to go out and make new friends, meet new people, find new experiences, and grow so much as a person and as a woman. i cannot wait. i need to make this happen. i have to make this happen. no excuses this time.

if you think you know where  either of these are and you have any advice about living here PLEASE leave me some of your feedback. it will be very much appreciated.
