cute craft ideas to tickle your fancy

so after gawking at some crafts on one of my favorite websites i decided to share some cute ideas i saw.
some of them will be followed by pictures and some of them won't but i just thought i'd put up the cute ideas i saw anyways:

1. coffee stencils made out of pringles lids.
-you know how when you get a cute latte, mocha, hot chocolate, etc., and it has a cute little design on top? you can make your own at home out of a pringles lid! just find a design you like, trace it on top of the lid, cut it out, and wah lah! STENCIL! then shake your cinnamon, cocoa, whatever you desire on top of your drink, and wah lah! COFFEE STENCIL !

2. rolodex scrapbook
-making a scrapbook out of rolodex cards using just about anything and everything to remember your little memories. how cute is this idea. whoever created this thing is a genius. i know that this idea would help me if i ever needed a pick me up if i were missing something because all i would have to do is go over to my counter that my rolodex was on and flip through little index card memories to feel better.

3. toilet paper tube animals
-the website was all in spanish, and maybe you can read spanish but i know that personally i cannot. maybe someday, but for now im going to use common sense and say that they just pushe the top downs to create the little ears? then painted the tube. maybe it was the other way around. either way im sure it doesn't matter, as long as it gets painted. unless you have a steady hand with painting, i would suggest using a sharpie to draw the darker details like the face, whiskers, feathers, etc. how darling are these though!

4. button magnets
-self explanitory really. but its such a cute idea. get some cute buttons, cut out magnets the size of the button, glue the magnet on to the button, and there you have a cute little button with a magnet button! LOVE IT.

-i made these with my daycare kids one time for mother's day. they turned into flowers and they painted flower pots to put them in. they turned out a little different because i didnt round the edges. you can visit the site for full directions. i want these in my room above my bed!

-okay this isn't a craft but how could i resist adding this? this lady has recipes for candy and homemade goodies that look quite delicious. when i try them i will let you know! YUM!

sprinkles sprinkles sprinkles sprinkles sprinkles

besides the fact that i have now eaten about four or five sprinkles cupcakes, i have something so very amazing that i want to share with you, but pictures first :) in these photos you will see a peanut butter chip cupcake, a red velvet cupcake, a vanilla cupcake with milk chocolate frosting, a strawberry cupcake (made with fresh strawberry puree), and a chocolate marshmallow cupcake. i ate the peanut butter chip one and the chocolate marshmallow ones. NOT ALL ON THE SAME DAY don't worry :)

just a little sprinkles lesson for you, you, and most of all you:
sprinkles is the first cupcake bakery that basically started the cupcake revolution (as i like to call it). they use all natural ingredients, no preservatives, and it just makes everything taste that much better. you can also feel a little better eating the amazing delicatessens as well because you know that you're not putting anything processed into your body. all of these cupcakes are made each day, and its really neat because the leftover cupcakes at sprinkles at the end of the day are donated to homeless shelters, police stations, fire stations, etc., in order to give back to the community. isn't that neat? it always makes me feel better with each bite knowing all of that.

also the most popular cupcake at sprinkles is a red velvet. the second most popular: black and white :) my personal favorite for right now however is the chocolate marshmallow. for those of you who don't like a lot of frosting i would recommend that one or the cinnamon sugar. the cinnamon sugar cupcake is a cinnamon cupcake. after its baked they brush the top with butter and roll it in cinnamon sugar. the chocolate marshmallow cupcake is a dark chocolate cake with sprinkles' homemade marshmallow filling. its topped with a chocolate ganache (instead of a cream cheese or buttercream frosting). THEY'RE AMAZING. anyways, they're opening a new store in new york city in may and the most recent one to open up was in washington dc. you can visit they're website or download they're cute little app for your iphone or whatever else you can download it for, to see all the flavors they have and they're locations.

alright so here are the pictures :) enjoy! oh also, the one picture of the dad and the son...how cute is that? they came in together and bought a cupcake and they shared it outside. sorry if you didn't want your photo taken mister father and son, but it was such a cute, precious moment that i just HAD to capture it.

ps my news will be at the bottom so don't skip over it!!!

heres the news:

I AM NOW A CUPCAKE ASSOCIATE AT SPRINKLES !!!!!!!! BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER TO FIND THAT OUT TODAY !!!!!!!!! I AM SOOO HAPPY AND SOOOO EXCITED.
happy birthday to meeeee :)

5. sharpies!

[now i'm not getting married or anything. not even close. but i adore this entire blog so completely.]

7. also if you haven't seen the website stumble upon...i highly recommend it. you are missing out on a lot in your life if you haven't seen this yet.i have found so many neat and exciting things on here! you wouldn't even believe it. FOR EXAMPLE...today i found out that coke products are now going to be packaged in rectangular bottles as a way to become more green and promote easier recycling. also by clicking on this site, i can easily rhyme one word with another. now yes, this may be completely pointless information.

8. all the seasons of the office. i haven't watched every season fully since after season three but the past three days since i have been pretty sick, i have been watching them. im currently almost through with disc 1 of season 4. love it. so funny :)

anyways. those are just eight things that i love this thursday. next week i will be back with some more.
