designing the little apartment we call home

my bestie jaemi moved in on saturday. she bought a tv and a cute futon for our living room and let me tell you that our little apartment feels so much more like a home now. i cannot wait to paint and get everything hung up and all the shelves decorated with books and little vases and candle holders. it will look so lovely. it will be really interesting to see what jaemi and i come up with when its all finished because our styles are so similar sometimes but at the same time they are SO different. maybe it will be the perfect eclectic collection i want and need.

here are a few things that i want to put in my bedroom. unfortuantely i couldnt find a picture that would work to be uploaded for the table i want. i guess i should clarify that i dont want the table in my bedroom. however i would like either a chest of drawers or a big desk to put my tv on and hopefully my soon to be my own macbook. i would love that. then around the desk id like to put a bookshelf and then some shelves into the walls. id love that. next to the desk i would like to have a chair. im not sure if i want this chair im featuring on here or somewhat of a chaise lounge. we'll see how much room i have once i get my bed set in there.

this is all i can think of for now. i want to do some in-store exploring. so when i do i promise i will go find the pieces i love online and post them in here. im debating if i want to paint my entire room a green color. a very bold, but still very pretty green color. or if i should just do one wall. im not quite sure. im not too big of a fan of accent walls, but maybe it could work.

little apartment !!

so i got an apartment here in tempe. i have so many things i want to do with it. its cute and perfect for me. my kitchen has an opening in the wall by the sink so you can see into the living room. i have a walk in closet. i also have a huge hallway closet (you know just in case i cant fit all my clothes/shoes into my regular closet. for now i just keep my art supplies in there. i have a nice patio too. its lovely. ALSO guess what? we are allowed to paint. i am so excited to actually get some money and paint my place. i have a lot of ideas for it.

you know what else i am excited about? im excited to do some projects and crafts. ive already come up with a few ideas for things that i can make and do and create and i am just so happy and ecstatic. i will definitely be sharing those with you as soon as i start making them.

but for now, i hope you can kind of see what my apartment looks like. the pictures arent the best quality, but i dont have a camera yet. ive been using my little iphone which works for now but once i get a camera, obviously i will be uploading those pictures for your curiosity satisfaction. oh and i dont have a lot of furniture...basically i have a bed. dont judge. :) in the last photo you will see two cats on the stairs of my apartment. there are about six of these cats and they just run around and wait for you to give them food. they're adorable. i haven't given them food though. im afraid theyre going to have rabies or something. they probably dont butttt you never know!

the apartment hunt is over

thats right. i got the apartment i wanted. i am so excited. it took what felt like forever...i cant imagine what it will feel like when i buy a house. that will take so extremely long but i cant wait for the day that i actually can.  okay ANYWAYS. i found an apartment. i applied for the apartment. i got approved for the apartment. so now all i have to do is get down there and move in. i am so excited. only one more week ! exactly one more week until i leave and only eight days until i get to arizona. how amazing is this?

i seriously always talk about moving. i always say im going to go somewhere. then it just never works out and i feel like no one will actually believe me next time i say im getting out of this place. but this time, that is not true at all. i will be FINALLY leaving boise. i will be FINALLY starting my life. FINALLY having a new adventure. i did it all by myself too. thats another reason why this feels so great.

the apartment i got is a one bedroom, so i will be living by myself. its big ! and i get to paint it however i want. so be expecting a few more posts with interior decorating ideas. if any of you have any ideas let me know :) i would LOVE to hear them.

anyways i will post pictures as soon as i get there. im getting my new phone this week which means that i will be able to upload them FINALLY to here and have all those neat effects everyone has. i am SO excited. i just wanted to give everybody the update though before i get a move on with my day. i have so much to do again. its almost overwhelming. i hope everyone has a great day!

list of updates

here's a little list of everything thats new with me since its been almost a month without updating anyone on  anything !

1. i got a studio apartment downtown :) its adorable and i love it. i need to get all my stuff moved in but being me and being a procrastinator this is just not going as fast as i want it to.

2. i bought home alone the other day. i already had it but it was scratched from watching it too many times so i bought a new one.

3. im going to new jersey on thursday until tuesday to visit family for my grandpa's birthday. we're spreading his ashes in the ocean (don't tell anyone!), and then going to dinner. i'm really excited and happy to see my family (even given the circumstances). hopefully i can squeeze in a little day trip to new york city :)

4. i love, love, love my best friend cricky.

5. im meeting with one of my bosses to come up with a business plan for my cupcake shop on wednesday.

6. im buying a macbook (and making payments hello of course) when i get back from new jersey!

7. zooey deschanel is my favorite ever.

8. i still love sex and the city.

9. i quit my job at the daycare and so now i am a cocktail waitress full time and i still work at anthropologie.

so there you have it.

thats all thats new (amongst random other things i can't think of right now)
