fall/winter must haves so far

so these are just some of the things i wish to possess for the fall/winter season. sadly i have no money, but when i do, these are mine mine mine :] they're all from free people too! 

im loving FAUX fur coats and hooded coats, little dresses (obviously i need them for work too), oversized, printed sweaters, and just any oversized sweaters in general.

for fall/winter this year i need the following in my closet:

1. boots: uggs, knee highs, riding boots, etc.

2. cute flats: embellished, plain, bows, etc.

3. classy winter pea coats.

4. oversized sweaters.

5. faux fur.

6. tights.

7. stockings.

8. leggings.

9. skinny cargos.

10. little dresses.

11. studded earrings.

12. anything minnie mouse [of course].

13. leg warmers.

14. amazing JACKETS.

15. anything to layer, layer, layer.

ive been kinda down lately :/ just a lot of things have been going on that are stressing me out all too much. ive been trying to just breathe and take a step back to help me feel better about things, but ive just been having somewhat of a difficult time. 

however, ill leave you with this michael buble video because i love him so and everytime i listen to him it puts me in a better mood. goodness he is so talented.

cupcaking evening

in addition to getting kingston last night, christine and i also got ingredients to make cupcakes. we made chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting. i got the recipe from the martha stewart cupcake cookbook i have but of course, there are some adjustments to be made to it. ill be trying a different chocolate cupcake recipe next time and seeing which i like better.

before i made them i was a little nervous that they wouldn't turn out how i wanted but as i started putting everything together i started to just become happier and happier. i focused a lot on the frosting because i wanted it to look perfect. im going to have to adjust that recipe a teency bit though and also play with different ways of frosting the cupcake. im not one to just spread it around however i want it. i like it nice and neat and cute!

after i baked them,  let them cool, and frosted them, i wrapped them up and made a cute note for it so that i could deliver it to my friends sabra, nicol, jace, and bardi. i really hope they do like them!!! i asked for their honest opinions so we shall see. if anyone ever wants cupcakes i'd be more than happy to make them for you.

hello little kingston

yesterday my best friend cricky and i decided to go adopt an animal. we ended up adopting a little dachsund-chihuahua mix :] and we named him kingston. we have the cutest son in the world.  lucky kingston has two mommy's now ! basically hes got ellen degeneres and portia de rossi as his parents. the cutest little lesbian couple ever. that'd be me and cricky, minus the lesbian, minus the couple, add the best friend.

Fall sickness

nonono the title does not mean I am sick of fall. That could never happen! But I think this fall is bringing me yet another season of sickness. I really hope it doesn't happen to me every year. Last year was hard enough with being ill but I suppose if the same situation happens again I will just have to deal with it the best way that I can. If I really want to look at the positives of it I guess that laying in bed all day will allow me to watch movies, tv show seasons, and read massive amounts of books. I wouldn't mind that at all.

It seems like reading in the fall is so fitting anyways. Have you ever felt like certain activities are more appropriate during different seasons than they are for others? Im not talking obvious ones like sledding in winter or swimming in summer. Activites like riding our bicycle in the spring or, as I mentioned before, reading books in the fall and winter.

Anyways, back to the topic before of being sick...cross your fingers that Im not sick like last year. Please please please. I hope you all are feeling healthy so far this season :]

persuasive cupcakes

today a friend of mine had his sister make me cupcakes. chocolate cupakes with an oreo buttercream frosting. so delicious! now im sure that he did this out of the kindness of his heart but lets be real here...i think the real reason is because he just wants to steal my best friend, cricky, away from me for a day. she and i are attached at the hip, but if anything can persuade me...its definitely a delicious set of cupcakes. 

so dear ryan,

you are more than welcome to steal miss cricky for the day. im giving you full permission right now. these cupcakes made my day and i will allow you to spend the day with  my best friend. just let me know when though so i can plan accordingly. thank you friend :]

awaiting the festival of trees

every year one of the hospitals here puts on an event called "the festival of trees." local business decorate trees for christmas in all sorts of different ways and then they auction them off to earn money for the hospital. its such a great cause and it gets everyone so excited for christmas. i mean there are probably over a hundred christmas trees, wreaths, garland, etc., that are decorated in different themes. people go absolutely all out! i wish i had my own set of personal pictures to show you but for now ill just have to settle for some that i found. it takes place over the week of thanksgiving and oh my goodness i cannot wait. its going to be so fun and so perfect to just get a cup of hot chocolate and walk around the inside of the event center listening to christmas music and getting so happy and filled with christmas cheer. oh my goodness :] 

this year its november 24th-28th in case you were wondering (i know i was). they also have special events such as dinners, or breakfast with santa, and they have performances too. when i used to dance in elementary school and middle school i remember we'd perform every year at the festival of trees. so much fun! ill definitely be taking lots of photos. twenty more days !!! yay !

well hello to you november.

its november! its november! :] i am so so so excited. this means its only one month and twenty-four days until christmas. can you believe that? i feel like it was only just christmas last year. this year has just absolutely flown by but its been so great so far. this month is going to be so wonderful. ive made so many new friendships and grown so much closer to the friends ive already made! PLUS its going to be thanksgiving, and present buying time, and decorating. 

i'll be honest...after i get all of the rest of my stuff (which is most definitley happening this week) i am going to put up my christmas tree. call me crazy but i dont think you really understand how much i love christmas. oh i just love the holidays. they're so wonderful and fun. 

this is the best time of year. so excited :]
