hello november.

hello november. its so very nice (and so very weird) to see you.  i can't believe its already november 1st.  its crazy to me! not only is today the first day of november, it is also my dad's birthday.  i miss him very very very much right now but i know that he is having such a great birthday, or at least i hope so.

my dad is currently in china, adopting a son who is two years old.  my dad and stepmom are naming him gabriel.  i cant wait to meet the little guy over christmas when i go back to boise to visit.

-thank you for always cutting my french toast up into perfect slices.

-thank you for taking me to see beauty and the beast in movie theaters when it first came out.

-thank you for getting me new sheets when i fell asleep with gum in my mouth and ruined my little mermaid ones when i was little.

-thank you for teaching me how to garden.

-thank you for teaching me how to lay sheet rock and paint walls so theres no stripes.

-thank you for teaching me how to make a house extremely clean (even though i hated having to redo chores).

-thank you for making me proud to be a gibbons.

-thank you for giving me my love and knowledge of sports and amazing music.

-thank you for not judging me when i got tattoos.

-thank you for being my dad.

-thank you for the relationship we have now despite all of our struggles and rough times.

-thank you for loving me.

last day of being twenty-two

i cant even believe it.  where has this past year gone? i seriously cannot tell you. ill be spending my last hour and ten minutes of it enjoying it to the fullest.  ive got a glass of wine and lovely tunes to keep me busy.

EEP my birthday...

as you may know, i am a big, huge, ginormous fan of birthdays, especially my own. i mean, who doesn't like their birthday? sure, there are quite possibly some mister grumpy gills out there who are just negative nancy's and dont like their birthday...but me? NO WAY! its the best day of the year besides christmas! one day that is all about you? YES AND PLEASE!

my birthday is in thirteen days !! APRIL19th to be exact. i am REALLY hoping this birthday can top last years. last years was my favorite birthday of my life.  i have absolutely no idea what i am going to do for it though. nothing too extravagant. i think dinner with some friends, and going out after may be in order? we shall see, and you can bet i will be keeping everyone posted.

im not even quite sure what i want for my birthday this year. is there an age where you're just too old to receive presents? i obviously do not think so.  im thinking i need to put a wishlist together.  be on the lookout for one soon.

if you have any ideas for birthday party ideas let me know. id love to have some input.

happy birthday to my favorite brothers

my dear friends jake and jordan had their birthday the other day. they were my first friends here in arizona. the two boys turned twenty-two (obviously they are twins thats why they have the same birthday duh.) anyways, we all went out to a bar called stray cat and after we went over to jake's house where all their friends came over. i brought them each a dozen red velvets with green dots on them from sprinkles (red velves and the color green are both of their faves).

most of the end of the night was kinda blurry (oopsies!) but i know what i did remember was pretty alright, even if i did get tackled and fell over a couch...and even if i burnt my hand on a lean cuisine when i got home (dont ask). i know i met a lot of beautiful people that night too and i know that i made a fool of myself a lot but as long as jordan and jake had a good night then thats all im worried about.

so happy birthday to two of my most favorite brothers. you'd be lucky to have friends like them in your life. so if you ever get the chance to meet them, don't take that for granted.

birthday post

here are a few pictures from my fabulous birthday. i only have a few to post but it was such a great day.

i woke up and got coffee and a cupcake with my amazing friend jake. we got me a cute red candle to go with my birthday cupcake (a peanut butter chocolate chip cupcake), and jake's cupcake (cinnamon sugar). did you know at dutch bros they give you a free drink for your birthday? ANYTHING YOU WANT. it was great!

after this i dropped jake off at his house, and came back and wrote that plethora of posts to update everyone on my life here. then, brynne and i ventured to california pizza kitchen and ate some dinner. to walk off some of our food, we walked around tempe marketplace where we ventured inside of an art gallery. we then went to the store and purchase some drinks and a shirt for that night. at about 830 we headed back over to jake's house and the festivities began. it was so much fun. my best friend from boise, jaemi, was even there. she is the one who is moving in with me next week down here. oh and to make my night even better...i got to wear my minnie mouse ears.
